Green tea is believed to be in use as a medicine at least 4000 years in China. It is also believed that green tea lowers cholesterol, increasing good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. All types of cancers such as stomach, lung, breast, liver, colon and rectum can be prevented by green tea.
